The wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair, according to an Exclusive in the Daily Mail, got into a heated argument with a member of the Cabinet. He told her, by the books, she is NOT allowed to accept gifts (this time, clothing), in which she retorted:
" 'You are infringing my rights under the European Convention on Human Rights.' Barrister Mrs Blair, an expert in the controversial human rights legislation, claimed the law gave her the right to 'enjoy her possessions' without the State meddling." Now, I may be wrong, but I have a feeling when the European Convention on Human Rights was drawn up and agreed upon, a problem of the type Mrs. Blair is having probably NEVER even crossed their mind. What a sad excuse to keep some free clothes, especially when you have the money to go out and purchase the same damn clothes.
